Art Works Alliance 2006 Events
Three Weeks in May
Art Works Alliance 2006 Fine Arts Juried Exhibition was held at The Village in the Grand Traverse Commons, in the historic Building 50. An overwhelming 160 area artists entered 306 pieces into the show. The opening reception was a huge event, attendance was estimated to be around 400 people. As the groups first endeavor, it was truly a success.

Studio Crawl and Member Show
At the "Studio Crawl and Member Show" on October 21st, 2006, area artists opened their studios to the public, while other AWA members put together a mixed media show at The Old Art Building in Leland. Throughout the day, people were able to pick up a map and plan their tour from Leland to Elk Rapids.

2007 Events
The Juried Art Show,
on January 20th, 2007, was a collaborative effort by AWA and The Art Center of Traverse City. The event was a discussion of the jury process for art shows from three points of view: the art organization, the juror, and the artist. "Show Your Colors", a juried exhibition took place in snowy February and was hosted by the Twisted Fish Gallery in Elk Rapids, MI. Despite the weather, it was another full-house event.
